Observational search for primordial chirality violations using galaxy angular momenta
نویسندگان
چکیده
We search for evidence of primordial chirality violation in the galaxy data from Sloan Digital Sky Survey by comparing how strongly directions angular momenta correlate with left and right helical components a spin vector field constructed initial density perturbations. Within uncertainties, spins these two identically, which is consistent Universe without violation. Given current data, it not yet possible to rule out maximal chiral violation, although case vanishing correlation component ruled at about 3.8$\sigma$.

On Dunkl angular momenta algebra
We consider the quantum angular momentum generators, deformed by means of the Dunkl operators. Together with the reflection operators they generate a subalgebra in the rational Cherednik algebra associated with a finite real reflection group. We find all the defining relations of the algebra, which appear to be quadratic, and we show that the algebra is of Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt (PBW) type. We ...
متن کاملNotes 17 : Coupling of Angular Momenta 3
In these notes we discuss the coupling or addition of angular momenta, a problem that arises whenever different subsets of the degrees of freedom of a system, each possessing its own angular momentum operator, are combined to form the whole system. In such cases, the whole system also possesses an angular momentum operator. Alternatively, we may say that there is an action of the rotations on e...
متن کاملGravitomagnetism and Angular Momenta of Black-holes
Abstract We review the energy contents formulae of Kerr-Newman black-holes, where gravitomagnetic energy term comes to play(Berman, 2006; 2006a; 2004). Then, we obtain the angular momenta formulae, which include the gravitomagnetic effect. Three theorems can be enunciated: (1) No black-hole has its energy confined to its interior; (2) Rotating black-holes do not have confined angular momenta; (...
متن کاملWarped Galaxies from Misaligned Angular Momenta
A galaxy disk embedded in a rotating halo experiences a dynamical friction force which causes it to warp when the angular momentum axes of the disk and halo are misaligned. Our fully self-consistent simulations of this process induce long-lived warps in the disk that mimic Briggs’s rules of warp behavior. They also demonstrate that random motion within the disk adds significantly to its stiffne...
